About The Position

Under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic coordinator or Neuro Tech II, the Neuro Tech I performs otoacoustic, electroencephalogram, and/or evoked potentials studies on all those served by this department including neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. A Neuro Tech I performs electroencephalograms and other neurodiagnostic tests on critically ill patients and in intensive care units.

Requirements

• Registration or eligible for registration in EEG or EP by ABRET is highly recommended.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited END technology program or equivalent formal training is highly recommended.
• 6 months of experience in EEG or neurodiagnostic testing.
• PC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform otoacoustic, electroencephalogram, and/or evoked potentials studies.
• Serve patients across all age groups including neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
• Conduct electroencephalograms and other neurodiagnostic tests on critically ill patients.
• Work in intensive care units.
