About The Position

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III is an Registered Electroencephalographic position in the Neurodiagnostic unit or department. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III performs procedures according to facility policies and procedures. The Neurodiagnostic Technologist III can perform test set up, electrode application, and maintain patient safety during clinically significant events and other related duties. Communication is essential for this position.

Requirements

• BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification required at time of hire.
• Enrollment in or graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program, or an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is desired.
• Registered from American Board Registered Electroencephalographic Technologists.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months or more experience in Pediatrics desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform test set up and electrode application according to facility policies.
• Maintain patient safety during clinically significant events.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff regarding EEG procedures.
• Ensure electrode application adheres to the International 10-20 system.
• Recognize clinically significant events and follow facility policy regarding critical test results.
• Perform patient assessments related to care, including electrode fixation and cognitive functions.
• Identify and perform basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification.
• Complete technical EEG reports and manage electronic health records.
• Stock supplies and prepare patient rooms for EEG procedures.
• Perform any other related duties consistent with patient and technical care.
