This position is full time, nights or weekends, at Riley Children's Hospital. Prepares and provides neurophysiological testing and monitoring in the clinical, Neurotelemetry, and EMU settings according to departmental guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge/understanding of ICU, Epilepsy and seizure, neonatal and typical neurophysiological patterns. Works with a minimal degree of supervision when recording and monitoring patient data. Reports findings and triages patient care needs when necessary. Maintains high quality recordings and skilled in troubleshooting techniques. Collaborates with the continued growth of less experienced team members, shares knowledge, and precepts peers.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program preferred.
  • Minimum R.EEG T. or EP credentialing based on department requirements.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to meet all requirements of competencies in which Registries are held.
  • Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to concentrate for extended amounts of time under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to recognize neurological compromising conditions and communicate those conditions.
