About The Position

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist functions as the multi-skilled component of the Division's technical staff performing electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic and/or Nerve Conduction Studies. Must demonstrate advanced competency, skill and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire. The technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, and providing a safe testing environment. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Must be continually involved in advanced job competencies to enhance the work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED for Tech I.
  • One or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing for Tech I.
  • National Registry certification in at least one neurodiagnostic procedure within 2 years of hire for Tech I.
  • BLS certification for Tech I.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or Associates degree or higher for Tech II.
  • Two or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing for Tech II.
  • Certification Registry in EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG from an accredited society for Tech II.
  • BLS certification for Tech II.
  • Associates degree from an accredited school of EEG/NCS/EP Technology for Tech III.
  • Two or more years performing electrodiagnostic procedures for Tech III.
  • Certification in two or more of EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG, CNCT from an accredited society for Tech III.
  • BLS certification for Tech III.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic and/or Nerve Conduction Studies.
  • Demonstrate advanced competency, skill and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing.
  • Ensure complete and accurate patient preparation and data acquisition.
  • Provide a safe testing environment.
  • Maintain organization and efficiency in work.
