The available plans and programs include: The Neurodiagnostic Technician performs neurodiagnostic testing across a variety of patient care settings and/or assists physicians/clinicians in the performance of these tests. The role provides EEG/EMG studies to patients and completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.

Requirements

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent
  • Certifications: AHA BLS Required

Nice To Haves

  • Education: Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic program
  • Experience: At least 1 to 2 years experience performing neurodiagnostic testing on all patient age groups in a healthcare setting
  • Certifications: Registered, or registry eligible, with: ASET (American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists); OR ABRET (American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic and Evoked Potential Technologists); OR Other Nationally recognized certification program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for patient scheduling, preparation, and intraprocedural support
  • Responsible for performing and documenting appropriate testing as ordered
  • Provides EEG/EMG studies to patients.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period
  • Maintenance of supplies and equipment related to diagnostic performance
  • Performs related duties as required
