Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1 year neurology clinical and technical experience required.
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technology.
  • Familiarity with a variety of neurological testing procedures, such as evoked potentials and intraoperative monitoring.
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a neurology or neurodiagnostic department.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and report test results.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine neurological tests and assessments, such as electroencephalograms (EEGs) Autonomic Function Testing (Tilt Table) & Neuropsyche screenings.
  • Prepare patients for neurological procedures, explain the process and answer any questions they may have pre-visit, during the visit and post visit.
  • Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
  • Assist with the maintenance and calibration of neurological equipment.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information.
  • Collaborate with the neurology team, including physicians and advanced practitioners, to provide the best possible patient care.
  • Continuously stay current with the latest advancements in neurological technology and techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to rooming patients, booking appointments and in basket management.
