Position Summary: Under the supervision of the laboratory manager, performs EEGs in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units including all other areas in the hospital. Requirements

  • Eligible to take ABRET EEG board exam and obtain Registration within one year of employment.
  • Current BCLS through AHA or ARC required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training.
  • Some college level work is preferable.
  • 1-year minimum patient care experience or 3 months of Clinical EEG experience w/ Formal Training preferred.
  • Mark, measure and place leads within the guidelines of the 10/20 system.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the laboratory manager, performs EEGs in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in the intensive care units including all other areas in the hospital.
