About The Position
Our Clinical Pharmacy team is looking for a Neuro-Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team! As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (CPS) at Memorial Sloan Kettering, you will play a critical role in our mission to conquer cancer. The Pharmacy Department utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, where the emphasis is on therapeutic efficacy and safety. We provide comprehensive, clinical and dispensing services through a decentralized pharmacy services model. We are looking for a confident, independent individual to join our Neuro-Oncology team. In the CPS role, you will serve in a fully clinical capacity as an integral member of the inpatient neuro-oncology service at our main campus, providing advanced clinical pharmacy services, including:
Requirements
- Doctorate in Pharmacy
- NYS license (or eligibility)
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency and an ASHP-accredited oncology residency, or equivalent experience are required
Nice To Haves
- Oncology experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Drug therapy design and monitoring, patient medication counseling, and participation in Collaborative Drug Therapy Management (CDTM) initiatives
- Committee participation and developing treatment guidelines and pharmacy policies
- Precepting PGY2 pharmacy residents and pharmacy students
- Delivering staff education including Grand Rounds and in-service training
