  • Under general supervision, performs sterile diagnostic, radiographic (IR), therapeutic endovascular (NI) and non-vascular interventional radiographic procedures and administers contrast agents at a technical level.
  • Meets with vendors and provides equipment/supply recommendations.
  • Other responsibilities include the safe care and processing of patients, ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.
  • Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes.
  • Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
  • Assists physicians with sterile and non-sterile procedures, anticipates their needs, and utilizes knowledge of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains intra-arterial access, performs manual and mechanical hemostasis, and uses closure devices as prescribed by licensed practitioners.
  • Utilizes proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors, ensuring correct patient demographics and annotations during post-processing.
  • Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely, applies appropriate PPE, and follows infection control policies for handling biohazardous materials.
  • Performs a full range of imaging and angiography procedures, adapting to new technologies and protocols, and addresses patient needs and anxieties.
  • Associate degree required.
  • 3+ years of work experience required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) required or
  • Non-Cert Radiologic Tech Reg (NCT) required or
  • Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required or
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required or
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) required or
  • Registered Technologist - Radiography (RTR) required or
  • Temporary General Radiographer (TGR) required or
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required and
  • Registered Technologist - Vascular-Interventional Radiography (RTVI) required.
