The neuro-interventional technologist will assist in routine diagnostic, highly complex invasive neuro, and peripheral interventions. The technologist will assist in performing many neuro-interventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coils, avascular malformations, and stroke interventions. The neuro-interventional technologist is required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology, and nephrology. The neuro-interventional technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. The neuro-interventional technologist demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality imaging for interpretation. Will be responsible for ordering and stocking of supplies utilized in Special Procedures and the Biplane. Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique. Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work. Requirements

• Two (2) Years of College or Graduate of an accredited Imaging program or graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in a health science (includes but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic/EMT).
• Current State of Florida license if applicable.
• Current ARRT or RCIS or obtain within 18 months.
• American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider.
• Minimum 1 year Neuro-Interventional experience required.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to take call.
• Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique.
• Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work.
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
• Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years’ clinical training or 1-year procedural experience (IR/ Cath lab/ Scrub experience) preferred.
