About The Position

Grote Industries is a leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative visibility and safety systems for the transportation industry. With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, we are looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment. We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Networks Intern to support the Networks team by assisting with documentation, research, and analysis related to connected vehicle and telematics solutions. This role provides hands-on exposure to networked systems, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-facing technology while contributing to product documentation, market insights, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree or certification in business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to document work clearly and accurately.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with IoT hardware and connectivity systems is a plus.
  • Interest in working in a start-up like atmosphere

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily management processes, team meetings, and engineering standups to gain an understanding of network, product, and connectivity operations.
  • Learn and support 4SEE hardware, software, and supporting components while collaborating with Engineering and Field Support to ensure accurate and aligned documentation.
  • Review, update, create, and organize product documentation and data sheets—including product guides, selector sheets, installation guides, user guides, and one-pagers—across multiple platforms.
  • Conduct research on trailer telematics, smart systems, and connected vehicle market trends; analyze competitor offerings and summarize features, pricing, and differentiators.
  • Assist with product roadmap updates and prioritization activities based on research findings, customer insights, and internal inputs.
  • Review internal onboarding, customer setup, sales tools, and materials to identify gaps, inaccuracies, or unclear information and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Observe fleet or OEM customer calls to understand real-world use cases, customer needs, and network performance.
  • Prepare and present findings, summaries, and recommendations to the Networks and Product teams.
