About The Position
The position requires extensive experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers, specifically the 5500 and 9800 series, as well as Cisco Aironet Access Points including models 9100, 4800, 3800, and 2800. The candidate should have a strong understanding of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) infrastructure and AAA protocols. Responsibilities include implementing Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) and Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) in conjunction with Wireless Network Technologies and Meraki Solutions. The role demands proficiency with various tools such as Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, PagerDuty, Data Dog, and Thousand Eyes. A solid understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and 802.11 standards is essential. The candidate should also possess strong troubleshooting skills and experience with analysis tools like Ekahau and Wireshark. Additionally, a deep understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) switching technologies, including VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Trunking, and Wireless concepts, is required. Knowledge in switching technologies such as STP, Trunking, EtherChannel, HSRP, VRRP, LACP, and PaGP is also necessary.
