About The Position

The Network Control/Administrator plays a key role in the design, implementation, operation, support and optimization of Fragomen’s global network infrastructure. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center network systems. The incumbent will be involved in complex network initiatives, provide Tier 2 support and collaborate across business and IT teams to align network strategy with organizational goals. This role is predominantly for a wireless network engineer to design, manage and support the global wireless infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Enterprise Networking: LAN/WAN design, VLANs, EtherChannel, Spanning Tree, QoS, traffic prioritization.
  • Routing Protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and policy-based routing.
  • Network Security: Palo Alto and related firewall and VPN technologies.
  • Wireless Systems: Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Aerohive, Clearpass
  • SD-WAN: Citrix, Palo Alto, SilverPeak implementations.
  • Voice & Collaboration: Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), CUBE, Unity, CME.
  • Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, LiveAction, Wireshark.
  • Cloud Integration: Familiarity with hybrid connectivity (Azure, AWS).
  • Disaster Recovery: Network failover and redundancy planning.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise-level network administration or engineering.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Proven project management and stakeholder engagement capability.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent relevant experience, CompTIA Network+, Palo Alto, or equivalent certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, configure, and maintain the firm’s enterprise network, including SD-WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and VPNs.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all network components and services.
  • Ensure optimal performance and resilience of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-connected infrastructures.
  • Conduct proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance analysis using tools like SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, and LiveAction.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, troubleshooting guides, and change management records.
  • Act as a technical project member for large-scale network initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Participate in network architecture design reviews and standardization initiatives.
  • Implement and enforce enterprise security standards across firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless devices.
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure compliance with global security and privacy standards.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessments, patch management, and security audits.
  • Support the resolution of complex Tier 3 network incidents and root cause analysis in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Establish escalation and response protocols in collaboration with vendors and service providers.
  • Provide support as a network engineers to IT support staff and teams.
  • Partner with IT Operations, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration across systems.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance network automation, observability, and self-healing capabilities.
  • Champion continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and documentation best practices.
