Summary The Network Vice President (NVP) Clinical Engineering oversees the TRIMEDX Clinical Engineering and Healthcare Technology Management services across a single large and complex customer. The System VP is fully responsible for every aspect of the TRIMEDX program for this customer to include financial, operational performance, customer satisfaction and employee engagement. The System VP will ensure the team delivers on all the contractual, regulatory, and other commitments made to the TRIMEDX customer. This role will also ensure the successful adoption of all TRIMEDX lead initiatives and programs. This role will serve as the primary customer liaison and will represent TRIMEDX to this customer.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in a clinical engineering or equivalent environment.
  • Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience with an emphasis on leading a business unit experience assuring customer retention, satisfaction, performance, and profitability of business.
  • People management experience must include experience managing leaders of teams.
  • Must have experience as a TRIMEDX Network or Regional Director or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare, field service operations, clinical engineering, and/or biomedical maintenance is expected.
  • Strategic capabilities in financial planning, resource allocation, workforce planning and analysis, business process improvement.
  • Experience in developing and building strong client relationships and building a customer centric organization.
  • Technology savvy and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong cross-functional knowledge of sales, human resources, information technology and finance
  • Strategic leadership skills to execute initiatives, influence stakeholders and drive integrated objectives across the organization.
  • Conflict resolution and team building skills with the ability to mentor and develop knowledge and skills.
  • Continuous improvement process development skills including lean six sigma.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent presentation communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, or technological related field is preferred.

  • Master’s degree is desired, and an MBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and experience of technology and/or equipment to oversee site operations and provide direction to others.
  • Oversee personnel staffing to ensure the best service is being delivered.
  • Create and manage the departmental budget.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate programs to meet departmental goals and ensure service excellence.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop others to deliver continuous service excellence.
  • Represent Clinical Engineering on committees and attend Management Council and other administrative meetings as appropriate.
  • Persuade divergent groups to build consensus and mobilize others toward desired outcomes.
  • Combine a broad cross functional scope of the business with an expertise to drive results.
  • Regularly draw upon expertise and makes decisions about appropriate action for achieving targeted goals; scope is more strategic.
  • Manage and implement the Integrated Service Plan (ISP).
  • Oversee the integrity of site inventory and databases.
  • Direct all aspects of acquisition, maintenance, and repair of the equipment, as well as ongoing training and education of staff related to safe medical device uses and practices.
  • Identify areas needing improvement, develop detailed action steps to drive improvements, and successfully improve outcomes.
  • Manage Joint Commission inspections and ensure that TriMedx services are in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Create a vision and strategy for continuous improvement process initiatives.
  • Implement all TRIMEDX Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Support TRIMEDX ISO Certification policies, processes, and audits.
  • Ensure development and implementation of detailed action plans to meet Performance Goals and Objectives, and organizational initiatives.
  • Utilizing TRIMEDX policies and procedures, and in partnership with HR and legal, hold managers and directors accountable for their performance.
  • Represent and advance partnership relationships with client hospitals.
  • Establish and define departmental goals and objectives to meet both TRIMEDX and the individual hospital goals and objectives.
  • Create vision and strategy for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Persuade divergent groups, build consensus, and mobilize others towards desired outcomes.
  • Deliver Quarterly Value Reviews and/or System-level reports or meetings.
  • Oversee and ensure the involvement of TRIMEDX during capital acquisitions.
  • Effectively collaborate with customers and vendors to develop win-win solutions.
  • Lead the delivery of results to a defined customer group with diverse, non-routine needs.
  • Regular interaction with external customers.
  • Grow and retain existing customer relationships.
  • Ensure development and implementation of the matched pairs for assigned customers.
  • Serve as a key customer matched pair to support Site Leadership and Customer Experience in building high, wide, and deep customer relationship building.
  • Accountable for Clinical Engineering (CE) Environment of Care (EOC) Performance at assigned sites.
  • Work effectively with TRIMEDX executives and other key stakeholders to drive customer growth, retention and satisfaction, business innovation, service delivery strategies, managing revenue growth, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Recognize problems as opportunities for creativity, innovation, and change; takes calculated risk and encourages others to challenge assumptions to seek alternative solutions.
  • Champion and lead corporate-wide strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage professional society involvement as a means of promoting and representing TRIMEDX within the regions or local communities through pre-defined branding and service initiatives.
  • Leadership: Provide clear direction to ensure collective achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Create an environment of respect, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Associate Development: Identify and support development needs of direct reports and team members including connecting them to resources both internally and externally to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Associate Engagement: Create high levels of employee engagement by understanding organizational and personal drivers that impact drivers and developing action plans that deliver increased engagement.
  • Performance management: Set clear goals and expectations for teams, monitor, and enable performance and intervene with appropriate action when performance gaps occur and provide timely, honest feedback.
  • Ensure that associates complete assigned actions by required deadlines.
