About The Position

The Network Technician role is responsible for the configuration and troubleshooting of Voice and Data connected endpoints, while managing daily incidents related to staff, projects, and break-fix requests. This position provides operational support for network infrastructure, including IDF closets, routers, switches, power equipment, and both analog and IP phones. The role requires strong technical skills, particularly in Cisco CLI, and involves traveling to offsite locations for project deployments and maintenance requests.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of experience working with network infrastructure, specifically routing and switching.
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager and Cisco CLI is strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft suites and Service Now is helpful.
  • Desirable credentials include Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) and CompTIA Network+.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of power and electrical systems related to UPSs and PDUs.
  • Working knowledge of low voltage cable including Ethernet and Fiber optic.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in configuration and troubleshooting of Voice and Data connected endpoints.
  • Manage daily incident management for staff, projects, and break-fix requests.
  • Provide operational support for IDF closets, routers, switches, power equipment, and analog/IP phones.
  • Access switches/routers using Cisco CLI to make configuration changes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist in project deployments and maintain inventory at offsite locations.
  • Perform maintenance requests and ensure cable management standards are met.
  • Participate in On-Call rotation as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems reported by end-users and internal Help Desk.
