Term: 6-12 Months Location: San Bruno, CA Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour, commensurate with experience Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm The Network Technician will provide hands‑on support for Google Video Conferencing (GVC) systems across enterprise environments. This role focuses on deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Google Meet hardware, room kits, network connectivity, and AV components to ensure seamless, high‑quality video conferencing experiences. The ideal candidate has strong networking fundamentals, experience with Google Workspace and GVC devices, and the ability to support both onsite and remote users. Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience as a Network Technician, AV Technician, or IT Support Specialist
  • Hands‑on experience supporting Google Video Conferencing / Google Meet hardware
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, routing, switching)
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration or device management
  • Proficiency with structured cabling and AV hardware installation
  • Ability to lift and install conference room equipment (up to 40 lbs)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL‑style workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Series One, Logitech Rally, or ASUS Google Meet hardware
  • Knowledge of AV standards (HDMI, USB, PoE, audio DSPs, room acoustics)
  • Certifications such as CCNA, Network+, CTS, or Google Workspace certifications
  • Experience supporting hybrid work environments or large‑scale conference room fleets
  • Understanding of network monitoring tools and AV management dashboards

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Google Meet hardware (Series One, Logitech, ASUS, or equivalent GVC kits)
  • Support cameras, microphones, speakers, touch controllers, and room displays
  • Troubleshoot Google Meet connectivity, audio/video quality, and device registration issues
  • Perform firmware updates, device resets, and room system optimizations
  • Ensure GVC rooms meet Google’s recommended standards for acoustics, lighting, and layout
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues affecting video conferencing performance
  • Support network printers, VLANs, QoS, firewall rules, and bandwidth requirements for GVC traffic
  • Work with network engineering teams to optimize routing and reduce latency
  • Monitor room system health and connectivity through dashboards or management tools
  • Install and maintain structured cabling for conference rooms (HDMI, USB‑C, Ethernet)
  • Support display mounting, cable management, and hardware placement
  • Assist with room buildouts, upgrades, and new conference room deployments
  • Test audio, video, and network performance to ensure consistent room readiness
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for video conferencing issues
  • Assist end users with Google Meet functionality, device pairing, and room scheduling
  • Respond to incidents, outages, and service degradation events
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation for room configurations, network diagrams, and device inventories
  • Update tickets, logs, and change records in accordance with IT processes
  • Collaborate with Google Workspace admins, network engineers, and facilities teams
  • Provide feedback on room performance and recommend improvements
