About The Position

The Network Technician role at JW Affinity IT involves managing and maintaining network infrastructure, performing network modifications, and responding to IT service management tickets. Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a Network Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Remedy, and Visio.
• Experience with computer networking and ServiceNow.
• Strong communication skills.

• Experience with network asset management tools.
• Knowledge of network documentation tools.
• Ability to perform network closet clean-up and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Perform Move/Add/Change (MAC) activities for network modifications.
• Act as the first responder to ITSM and Service Now problem tickets.
• Monitor and control data communications network problems.
• Activate/deactivate network lines according to schedules.
• Set up and test systems and hardware components prior to deployment.
• Analyze failed equipment and determine repair options.
• Physically install network assets in network closets and data centers.
• Logically configure network switches and tools.
• Monitor network alerts and take appropriate actions.
• Support network break/fix actions to restore service.
