Position Summary McKesson is hiring for a Network Systems Engineer who will be responsible for configuring , supporting, and maintaining the network and related infrastructure. This role ensures optimal network performance, security, and scalability for a federally regulated environment . The position collaborates with cross-functional pillars and internal business partner s to ensure that the network meets all regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, IPv6 , VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ preferred.
  • Experience in federally regulated environments preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Upgrade network infrastructure to meet strict vulnerability management requirements.
  • Document standard operating procedures for network maintenance.
  • Implement security standards to safeguard systems.
  • Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Evaluate network systems to improve service delivery and efficiency.
  • Support continuous audit readiness, evidence collection, and remediation planning .
  • Interact with peer groups and management to ensure project completion.
