The Network Systems Engineer at Qlarant Integrity Solutions LLC is responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of the organization's VoIP telephone, data, video, and wireless network services. This role involves planning, designing, and developing local and wide area networks, as well as participating in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all network hardware and software. The engineer will also analyze and resolve network issues and provide end-user training as needed.

  • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for network administration and disaster recovery.
  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, and switches.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards.
  • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors and contractors for network products and services.
  • Configure networks for smooth and reliable operation.
  • Integrate IP telephony systems with enterprise networks and services.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of end-user workstation hardware and software.
  • Ensure network connectivity of all servers and network appliances.
  • Monitor VoIP traffic for capacity and performance issues.
  • Manage servers, including database and email servers.
  • Practice network asset management and maintain documentation.
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide statistics and reports.
  • Participate in managing network security solutions.
  • Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.
  • Manage and provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Proven experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
  • Experience with network capacity planning and security principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu OS administration.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SIP, H.323, TCP/IP protocols.
  • Technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows Server 2003, 2008, XP, WIN7.
  • Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including Cisco devices and firewalls.
  • Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with open source technologies and managing firewalls/network switches.
  • Microsoft or Cisco certifications.
