About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant knowledge of networking, telecommunications, and communications cabling components and systems.
  • Knowledge of network technologies including Cisco routing, switching, security, and telephony, and Aruba wireless technologies.
  • Experience in Cisco networking, Unified Communications, VoIP, or Aruba wireless in an enterprise setting.
  • Experience in technical implementation projects and enterprise project planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Significant experience in deploying and upgrading Cisco or Aruba network equipment or software in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Solarwinds Orion or similar management platforms.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code and TIA/EIA standards for telecommunications installations.
  • Experience building and maintaining network and telecommunication room infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve network and telecommunications support tickets using incident management, problem management, change management, and request fulfillment processes.
  • Provide end-user customer service as a visible member of the Network Services team.
  • Configure Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and Aruba mobility controllers.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network and telecommunications equipment, including IP phones, voice gateways, servers, and communications cabling.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and upgrades of network and telecommunications equipment and software.
  • Troubleshoot and repair network and telecommunications equipment and cabling problems.
  • Use monitoring systems to maintain functionality and address alerts.
  • Maintain and develop documentation including system diagrams and equipment records.
  • Monitor equipment inventory levels for asset management and restock scheduling.
  • Assist with training and evaluation of solutions for various needs.
  • Organize and communicate ongoing work to meet project timelines.
  • Participate in performance-related goal setting and professional development activities.
