Basic Function: Responsible for overseeing the administration, management and maintenance of computer network systems and data circuits. Responsible for installs, upgrades and monitoring network performance. Develops and documents system standards for computer and network devices. Responsible for recommending and scheduling repairs to the LAN/WAN.

Extensive hardware and software knowledge and hands on experience to perform the responsibilities of this position.

Responsibilities

Uses network analysis tools to help troubleshoot network performance problems.
Perform administrator tasks for the team.
Understand, explain, and assist with adherence of internal policy as it pertains to the group and user/customer base.
Maintain software license compliance and adhere to company policies and manage Microsoft Active Directory user permissions.
Perform light programming/scripting to automate tasks, analyze system logs to identify potential issues.
Responsible for administration, setup, and ongoing configuration of networking systems and equipment to include servers, routers/switches, firewalls, wireless AP’s and SDWAN.
Participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all systems & network hardware/software, and communication links.
Ensure stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, and wireless network services by continually monitoring systems with various networking tools.
Troubleshoot network issues with other team members within the IT department and with vendors.
Document changes within the scope of the network & systems.
Other duties as assigned.
