About The Position
Red Knight Solutions is currently seeking a Network Support Specialist in Plano, TX. This position is a long-term potential contract-to-hire opportunity, with a pay rate of $21.00 per hour on a W2 basis. The typical conversion period is around 6 months. The Network Support Specialist will perform tasks related to the repair of a variety of technology-based products typically associated with an end-user computing environment. The ideal candidate will have a CCNA certification and 2-4 years of experience in network support. The role involves several key responsibilities, including network installation and configuration, where you will install, configure, and support network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. You will also implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware, and configure and manage network services like DHCP, DNS, and VLANs. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring network performance to ensure system availability and reliability, troubleshooting and resolving network issues to minimize downtime, and conducting regular network performance tuning and optimization. Furthermore, you will assist in the design and implementation of network architecture and infrastructure, collaborating with IT team members to develop network solutions that meet business needs while ensuring that network design adheres to industry standards and best practices.
