About The Position

The Network Support Engineer position is focused on providing support for network operations in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in network operations support, with responsibilities including monitoring network performance, responding to alerts, and troubleshooting network issues. The engineer will work with various monitoring tools and handle technical support calls from infrastructure users. Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Network Operations support.
• Good knowledge in Switching & Routing, Wireless, SDWAN.
• Experience with Switching Protocols - VLAN, VTP, STP, Trunk and Stacking.
• Experience with Routing Protocols - Static, Default, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.
• Ability to troubleshoot trunk, signaling, one-way audio issues.
• Good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Network Performance and identify or detect potential issues or incidents using various Monitoring tools.
• Respond to alerts and incidents adhering to SLA, analyze and escalate issues as needed.
• Handle soft calls e.g. Genesys for Technical Support calls from infrastructure users.
• Execute document-based troubleshooting or resolution steps on handling known errors and issues.
• Investigate and troubleshoot L1.5 level Network issues.
• Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Coordinate with Customer Local Site Contact for Hardware/cabling/WAN link related issues.
• Provide 24/7 Operations and escalation support on a rotational shift basis.
