LG Vertech is seeking a Network Support Engineer to help monitor and support the network for LGES Vertech integrated SCADA systems and products.
Support LG Vertech production and SCADA network infrastructure, including routers, switches and firewalls to support the smooth functioning of LG Vertech’s industrial operations.
Configure and optimize network devices to ensure seamless communication and data transfer between SCADA components and other network systems.
Monitor, Identify and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks.
Conduct regular network troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime and efficient communication between SCADA systems.
Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches. Monitor network security and respond to incidents promptly.
Work in a timely manner with LG Vertech Service and Field Support teams to proactively identify and fix issues during commissioning or service phases of projects.
Work with customers to build and troubleshoot IPSEC site-to-site tunnels.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations and processes to facilitate troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
Conduct regular network assessments, performance evaluations, and system audits to maintain the highest standards of reliability and efficiency.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in SCADA network design and implementation.
Provide training and technical guidance to technical support teams as needed.
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, SNMP, Modbus, DNP3, and Ethernet/IP, as well as familiarity with industrial communication protocols.
Proficiency and working knowledge
in configuring and managing Routers, Switches and firewalls especially Cisco, MOXA, Palo Alto and Fortinet.
Proven experience working as a network support engineer troubleshooting networks in a critical infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, or other high network availability industries.
Hands-on experience with network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, Remote access VPN, IPSEC L2L.
Strong working knowledge of network security monitoring tools preferably Rapid7 and Cisco CyberVision.
Demonstrate clear technical cybersecurity and programmatic understanding of security best practices preferably NERC CIP.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Communication Skills: Clear communication skills to collaborate with corporate management, team members and customers and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site deployments, maintenance, and collaboration with remote teams.
3- 5 years of experience directly related to support and implementation of ethernet network and cybersecurity designs.
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, SCADA-specific certifications, and cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
