About The Position

Sentinel is seeking an experienced Network Support Engineer to support a key account based in Plano, Texas. In this role you will be supporting an enterprise level network consisting of Cisco and Aruba Routers and Switches, SAN switches and Big IP F5 load balancers. This role is customer facing so you will be representing Sentinel Technologies and its services daily with client stakeholders. This position can be remote but the candidate must provide occasional onsite support in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • CCNA certification or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to provide onsite support at the Plano, Texas location in the event of emergency or special project.
  • Must have the ability to provide support after hours as needed either onsite or remotely.
  • Experience with load balancing.
  • The candidate must meet and uphold CJIS requirements.
  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Support an enterprise level network consisting of Cisco and Aruba Routers and Switches, SAN switches and Big IP F5 load balancers.
  • Represent Sentinel Technologies and its services daily with client stakeholders.
  • Provide onsite support at the Plano, Texas location in the event of emergency or special project.
  • Provide support after hours as needed either onsite or remotely.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and analyze the network infrastructure.
  • Support a Cisco and Aruba networking environment.
  • Assist with gathering data and creating reports as needed.
