About The Position
Computer World Services Corp (CWS) is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to manage and support telecommunications and network systems, with a specialization in Cisco hardware and services. This role also involves Dell hardware repair, WAN/LAN infrastructure management, and network performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will be experienced in hardware engineering, troubleshooting, and providing production support to maintain a reliable and efficient network environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in network installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Hands-on experience with WAN and LAN infrastructure design and management
- Proven track record in Dell hardware repairs and support
- Proficient in Cisco hardware and services
- Strong understanding of communication protocols, network architectures, and software systems
- Experience with network performance monitoring tools like SolarWinds
- Knowledge of cabling and infrastructure support best practices
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Four years of relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement
Nice To Haves
- CCNA, CCNP Preferred
- ITIL certification v4 preferred
Responsibilities
- Support the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of WANs and LANs
- Assist in designing and managing WAN infrastructure and related processes
- Perform day-to-day operations and provide second-level problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution for network issues
- Support the dispatch and coordination of circuit and hardware vendors for problem resolution
- Escalate and communicate network status updates to management and internal customers
- Perform Dell hardware repairs and support related systems and devices
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair network hardware to ensure smooth operations
- Provide support for cabling and infrastructure setup, maintenance, and optimization
- Ensure adherence to infrastructure standards and best practices
- Monitor and optimize network performance using tools such as SolarWinds
- Ensure efficient and secure operation of network systems and related devices
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, hardware setups, and processes
- Provide technical consultation to internal teams and assist with training when needed
