We are looking for a Solutions Architect to support our team by providing consulting and design support to enhance our networking and data center practices. This individual will act as a sales engineer, technical resource to set up and deliver presentations and demonstrations to customers, and to assist with determining their overall business and technical solutions. We are seeking a Solutions Architect with strong network design expertise to support and advance our networking and data center practices. This role is primarily responsible for listening to customer technical challenges and designing effective, scalable network architectures that align with business needs. The Solutions Architect serves as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partnering with sales teams to translate requirements into well-designed solutions. While customer interaction and presentations are part of the role, the emphasis is on technical design and architecture rather than sales execution.

Requirements

  • Required 2+ years of experience working with Cisco/Aruba/Juniper networking products such as switches, routers, wireless access points, datacenter switching, cloud management platforms (Meraki, Central, Mist)
  • A strong knowledge of technical networking solutions – route/switch, LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, SASE, SSE and other networking and security solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and sell complex technical products and services by understanding the customers business needs, technical expertise to support the sales process and ability to articulate the technical value proposition
  • Experience with products and solutions from key partners such as: Cisco, HPE Aruba Networking, HPE Juniper Networking, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and various other networking and security partners
  • Intermediate Industry Certifications such as CCNP. CCNA, ACP, JNCIP or other vendor certifications preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Desire to learn multiple solutions across a wide range of enterprise, security and data center network technologies
  • Ability to lead demos, proof-of-value for customers
  • Ability to develop high-level designs and architectures to ensure smooth transition from design to delivery
  • Ability to assist customers and account team with understanding and architecting appropriate network and/or security solutions
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and architecting network solutions in a consulting firm, VAR, MSP, or similar environment
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise routing and switching architectures
  • Demonstrated expertise with network and security platforms such as Cisco (ASA, ISE, Firepower), Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent technologies
  • Ability to develop high-level and detailed network designs that support a smooth transition from architecture to implementation
  • Experience translating customer requirements into secure, scalable network and/or security solutions
  • Ability to lead technical demonstrations and proof-of-value engagements
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced, consultative environment
  • Desire to continuously learn and expand across enterprise networking, security, and data center technologies
  • CCNA or equivalent vendor certifications preferred, with emphasis on practical network design and real-world experience over certification alone

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with designing network architecture is a plus
  • Experience with manufacture quoting tools such as CCW, and Iris is a plus
  • Sales engineering and/or pre-sales experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of software-defined networking technologies is a plus
  • Sales engineering or pre-sales experience is beneficial but not required; customer-facing communication skills can be developed
  • Working knowledge of SDN and modern network architectures is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams in understanding customer environments by reviewing and evaluation Network technologies
  • Build, strengthen and maintain technical relationships with customers, and strategic and key partners
  • Assist the pre-sales team with educating sales teams through product and positioning training
  • Be a trusted IT advisor to customers, while partnering with account managers
  • Work with the pre-sales team to develop sales strategies and technical roadmaps for key customers
  • Identify and uncover technology opportunities within Data Center, Networking, Security, Collaborations and Services
  • Develop solutions that meet customers nosiness needs and budgets through strategic planning
  • Use manufacture partners quoting tools to create Bill of Materials for customers
  • Will convey information technology proficiency in a customer facing/presales environment
  • Leadership capabilities to manage additional technical resources for meeting sales engineering needs
  • Ability to work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to meet sales goals
  • Will travel to prospective customer sites,  partner meetings and company events as necessary
  • Ability to deliver detailed documentation and accurate Bills of Materials
  • Design and architect enterprise networking, security, and data center solutions based on customer pain points and requirements
  • Present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Act as the primary technical resource during the pre-sales phase, supporting solution alignment and feasibility
  • Collaborate with account teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions are technically sound and deliverable
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to additional engineering resources as needed
  • Develop detailed technical documentation, architecture, and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Participating in customer meetings, demonstrations, and proof-of-value activities as required
  • Travel to customer sites as necessary to support solution design and delivery
