About The Position

Crossflow Technologies, INC. is seeking a Network Services - Computer Support Technician (Senior) to perform network and computer support for Air Force Human Resources Systems Division (AF HRSD). The person that fills this position will advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats. Support is provided to Information Technology (IT) Networks supporting the AF HRSD Portfolio which is responsible for the maintenance and sustainment of military and civilian legacy Human Resources (HR) Systems and the development of new IT capabilities which support AF personnel processes needed to acquire, train, promote and retire Total Air Force personnel. This position supports the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES)/GBH Human Resources Systems Division.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD
  • 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 8 of which must be in the DoD
  • Specific Work Experience: Windows Operating Systems, Unix, .NET, Java, JavaScript, MS Office Applications (MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook)
  • Required to hold and maintain an IAT/IAM level II certification (Minimum of Security+; equivalent or higher certification)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Professional Certification (or equivalent Cloud related certification)

Responsibilities

  • Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading computer operating systems and software and/or network operating systems software
  • Performing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for organizational IT systems and devices
  • Performing help organizational desk support
  • Performing organizational system access management and procedures required to grant network access
  • Analyzing and recommending network requirements
  • Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure
  • Analyzing network workload
  • Monitoring network capacity and performance
  • Diagnosing and resolving network problems
  • Recommending network backup and recovery procedures
  • Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
