Requirements

• Requires a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Requires a completion of one graduate-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following
• Software Security Engineering
• Operating systems, file systems and memory on Windows, MacOS, or Linux
• Interpreted programming language PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby
• Information security detection and response
• Developing scalable systems to automation detection and remediation
• Identifying attacker tactics, techniques and procedures
• Configure and maintain the infrastructure required to log network telemetry and metadata
• Ensure resilience of network infrastructure to withstand internal and external threats
• TCP/IP Network Stack
• Analytics and troubleshooting
• Network Security
• Network device configuration

Responsibilities

• Develop optimized network monitoring systems.
• Design and deploy new network architectures.
• Be an active participant in deep technical discussions.
• Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure.
• Maintain and Deploy Network Security Monitoring solutions across a fleet of bare metal servers.
• Ensure network visibility logs across Meta's enterprise network.
• Iterate network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors.
• Lead network efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents.
• Develop automation and utilize frameworks to scale both protection and mitigation tools.
• Evaluate and test new vendor and in house network initiatives for security issues.
• Mentor and evangelize security practices through cross functional work with engineering teams throughout Meta.
• Keep Meta safe through active operation and defense of critical network infrastructure.
