About The Position

The Network Security Engineer partners with Corporate IT to support, secure, and maintain the organization’s network and systems infrastructure. This role provides timely technical support to end users, ensures system reliability and security, and supports ongoing network and security improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, systems administration, or IT security.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.
• Experience administering Windows and/or Linux servers and enterprise networks.
• Familiarity with user access management, email systems, and endpoint security.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical and security issues.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Security or networking certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CCNA, CISSP).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of compliance or regulatory security standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide user support for network, hardware, software, and business application issues.
• Administer and maintain network servers, backups, email systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and support workstations, printers, applications, and network hardware.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system configurations in accordance with security standards.
• Monitor, assess, and improve network and system security; identify and resolve vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with Corporate IT, management, DBAs, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain software licensing, documentation, backup/recovery standards, and disaster recovery plans.
• Assist with system design, performance reporting, policy development, and special IT projects.
