About The Position

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Security Administrator to provide boundary protection support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in network administration and support.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Must be Security+ certified.
• Must hold one of the following certifications: Palo Alto Network Security Professional; Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA); and Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA).
• Experience with enterprise DOD boundary protection and CSSP operations.
• Extensive experience with enterprise level network architectures and configurations.
• Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
• Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution.
• Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Solid customer service and communication skills are critical as well as the ability and willingness to communicate effectively and appropriately in an empathetic and understanding manner.
• Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

• Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall Engineer and/or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, harden, maintain, and operate intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, load balancers, and web proxies to protect AFNet resources from both internal and external threats according to DoD security standards.
• Perform complex analytics on boundary protection systems to protect system assets from compromise, data loss, and other requirements.
• Perform DCO and DODIN operations.
