About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support an upcoming network refresh project in San Diego, CA. This role will be onsite and focused on executing overnight cutovers to minimize business disruption. The engineer will be responsible for preparing, deploying, and validating Cisco networking equipment during scheduled maintenance windows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure (Catalyst, Nexus, wireless).
• Prior experience performing network refreshes and after-hours cutovers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco CCNP (or higher) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform overnight cutovers of Cisco network devices (switches, routers, wireless, etc.).
• Configure, install, and validate new hardware as part of the refresh project.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after cutovers to ensure smooth transitions.
• Collaborate with project managers and client IT teams to confirm successful deployment.
• Provide post-cutover documentation and knowledge transfer.
