Network Production Engineer, Backbone & Edge Networks

MetaDenver, CO
86d$147,000 - $208,000

About The Position

The Backbone and Edge team is responsible for the design and ongoing ownership of Meta's datacenter-to-POP IP backbone, IP networking in our POPs and our IP peering. This role involved development of IP connectivity solutions and network designs, working in close collaboration with partner teams. This includes designing the network topology, understanding and selecting industry technologies and protocols, liaising with vendors on feature or product development, and choosing network products and platform which align with our product needs. We champion innovation, so you'll be directly involved in bringing new network products to life, from the initial concept to a functional network in our labs. While design and documentation are essential aspects of your role, we believe in the value of hands-on experience as you take your design from concept through to feasibility in our lab. As a Network Production Engineer, you will blend software and network engineering skills to ensure smooth network operations, enable future growth, use data analysis to influence design decisions, and leverage automation to achieve the scale and velocity required for Meta's expanding demands.
