About The Position

Our NORAD Operations Group Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided: Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space. Mitigation of orbital conflicts. Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities. Operations and maintenance of classified communications. Software development and integration. NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at: Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska Vandenberg Space Force Base, California Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world Description of Duties: The Network Operator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: Review and analyze system, trunk, circuit, and equipment performance. Coordinate and assist in troubleshooting, isolating, repairing, and correcting network systems and circuit errors. Create and update outage tickets and shift logs. When necessary, brief leadership of circuit/equipment status. Daily Cryptographic loads to equipment (i.e., KIV-7Ms, KG-175xs, KG-250/5s, and KG-350s, etc.) and associated COMSEC paperwork. Analyze problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery. Handle COMSEC materials daily. Use of electronics and network principles. This position is expected to pay $75,000-$85,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be filled and work onsite at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station, Colorado Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as one of our teammate companies.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
  • DoD IAT Level II or higher
  • 6 months or more of directly related experience.
  • 1 year or more of general work history.
  • Experience with the following technologies: OSI, TCP/IP, and various layer 2 protocols.
  • Experience with platforms such as Radius and/or TACACS.
  • Experience with Juniper and RedHat Linux.
  • Experience with data center/long-haul transportation and serial data interfaces, cat-X, fiber, and Long-Haul Transport mechanisms.

Nice To Haves

  • Have Juniper OS certification.
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX skills.
  • Experience with Juniper products including routers, switches, and Circuit to Packet (CTP) equipment.
  • Experience with Automated Ticketing Systems (i.e., Remedy/ServiceNow).
  • Experience with digital signal flow.
  • Experience with transport circuit drawings/records.
  • Knowledge with network transport equipment in a large Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) NOC and DISA processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of using specialized test equipment (i.e., Oscilloscope, Hardware Protocol Analyzer, Bit Error Rate Test equipment, etc.)
  • Experience prioritizing and managing workloads.
  • Have clear written and verbal communication skills.
