The Classified Infrastructure Services department provides the expertise in Data Center Management, Network Operations, and High-Performance Computing that our programs and Engineering teams rely upon and use daily fulfill their missions. Reporting to the Director of Classified Infrastructure Services, as a Network Operations Senior Manager (M5) you will lead and manage a regional team of over 20 networking professionals with varying experience levels. Individual Contributors reporting to you reside at sites in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Indiana. In addition, a Network Operations Manager (M4) reporting to you has Individual Contributors as sites in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. As the Network Operations Senior Manager, you will have accountability for the full combined team and the Local and Wide Area Networks they support, which may require leveraging matrixed resources in addition to your direct reports. This role is on-site and can be filled in Woburn, MA (preferred), Tewksbury, MA, or Marlborough, MA. Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience.
  • Certification meeting 8140 Advanced for Network Operations Specialist (e.g. CCNP Security or CASP+) or 8140 Advanced for IT Investment/Portfolio Manager (e.g. CISM or CISSP).
  • Experience in Networking/Network Engineering discipline.
  • Experience as functional manager or lead teams in technical environments.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience managing network teams within classified environments
  • Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance
  • IT Project Management experience and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and Connected Factory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure your teams follow safety guidelines and policies and drive to address any concerns
  • Collaborate across functions by building relationships and sharing knowledge or ideas
  • Be accountable for the operations of networks hosted from the region, including staff assignments, Cybersecurity compliance, and network performance
  • Participate in budgetary planning efforts and manage elements of the department budget
  • Develop operational plans to support functional strategy, including network modernization and ensuring appropriate staffing against approved plan
  • Champion and use CORE to make improvements to processes or networks in order to enhance performance
  • Influence other disciplines and functions on Network Operations policies, practices, and procedures
