Here, you'll do more than join something - you'll add something. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to join our Enterprise Network team. Enterprise Network Operations team keeps Apple's always-on world-class Employee Office, Remote Access, ExtraNet Partner and SoS networks running smoothly and efficiently. We're a global community of engineers who operate a standards-based technology, protocol, and vendor stack that provides connectivity for all employees, partners and customers. We're seeking a self-motivated, dedicated and passionate leader to manage a dynamic and exciting team. You will be skilled in working globally, strong collaborator, liaising with our internal teams, build relationships with our business partners and manage external service providers & vendors to drive high availability network. As the Network Operations manager, you will lead the global team of network first responders to triage and mitigate critical network incidents. The Enterprise Network team is responsible for keeping our sites connected globally and enabling quality connectivity for Apple Employees, Business Partners to utilized Services and collaborate across the globe. The role involves leading incident response, defining and implementing proactive monitoring strategies, driving network efficiency efforts, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams and business partners to scale the network to support the company growth.

Requirements

  • Over a decade of experience in the industry.
  • Strong technical and leadership background.
  • Comfortable in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in triaging, resolving, and permanently fixing problems at scale using tools and automation.
  • Ability to build a culture of learning and care about user experience.
  • Flexibility to work early morning or late-night shift patterns.

Nice To Haves

  • Generative AI expertise to develop predictive maintenance models, anomaly detection systems, and autonomous troubleshooting solutions.
  • Familiarity with Network Vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, Opengear, FortiNet.
  • Hands-on experience with wired & WiFi, switching, routing, firewall and WAN/Telcom, dark fiber & Internet VPN.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (OSPF, VXLAN, VLANs, QoS).
  • Experience with cloud networking technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies.
  • Knowledge of network virtualization technologies (VMware NSX, NFV, Cisco ACI).
