This is an opportunity oriented towards SAIC’s Army Enterprise IT activities and INDOPACOM initiatives. Open to qualified applicants who may be in a redeployment state, peninsula based or other PACOM initiatives that may be ending. Position is contingent upon award or opening on a funded contract. Positions will be located in Hawaii, Japan and Korea. SAIC is seeking a Network Operations Lead with the ability to demonstrate a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts within the IT field and provide technical solutions over a wide range of complex difficult problems in which proposed solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. The lead focuses on the operation of the IP networks that provide data transport for the DoDIN and local area network (LAN) internal support. The organization controls and maintains operational responsibilities within the boundary between installation LAN and Wide Area Networks (WAN). Provides network support services to include Enterprise network operation, DNS, web filtering and proxy servers, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Installation Processing Node (IPN), Theater IP management, network management, monitoring, access control, and firewalls. All network-supported device implementation is either virtual, software defined, or physical based on system owner deployment. Services include but are not limited to: Enterprise Protected Domain Name Service (EP-DNS). Secure, operate, maintain, monitor, and sustain EP-DNS IAW the systems owner's Responsible, (RACI) Accountable, Consulted, and Informed alignment, Coordinate delegations and transfer files, troubleshoot operational issues in a multi-discipline team, and assign/retrieve network IP space and autonomous system numbers. Provide technical guidance and support to sites, including Base, Posts, Camps, and Stations (BPCS), along with tactical domain managers utilizing Army EP-DNS services, Operations Order (OPORD) or Task Order (TASKORD). Provide account management, enforce network ACLs, update/maintain IP filter list. Maintain databases and domain blocks as required. Modify data files daily to include bad zones blocks.
