About The Position

The Network Operations Center Technician I - Monitoring Cell position at Computer World Services Corp is a critical role in support of the Network/Cyberspace Operations mission, specifically focusing on the Air Force Information Networks (AFIN) Mission Assurance Center (AMAC). This position involves the monitoring and maintenance of the Air Force's network systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting network systems as necessary and implementing improvements to the networks, tools, and procedures utilized in operations. In this role, the technician will engage in various key tasks and responsibilities as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW). This includes monitoring, identifying, analyzing, documenting, and reporting on events and incidents occurring on AFIN systems, which encompasses 16 AF operated systems. The technician will communicate directly with various operational centers and representatives to address network outages and concerns, providing direct support to cyber operations across the AFIN. The position operates on a shift basis, primarily during the swings from Wednesday to Saturday, but flexibility is required to support a 24/7/365 mission. This includes the potential for temporary schedule changes to meet operational needs. The technician will be expected to maintain compliance with certification requirements as directed by the government, with a grace period provided for compliance if changes occur.
