The Network Operations Analyst at Targa Resources is a critical role focused on the implementation, upgrading, and maintenance of LAN/WAN technology for a leading midstream energy company. This position requires extensive travel throughout Texas and Louisiana, with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience in a plant environment. The Analyst will be responsible for network design, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, while also fostering relationships with Targa's workforce to align IT solutions with business objectives.

  • Plan, update, and oversee all network activities according to laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Participate in phone conferences and in-person meetings representing customer care.
  • Respond to emergency issues and provide support to other groups as needed.
  • Travel to different locations to manage WAN/LAN infrastructure using company vehicles.
  • Implement and design local and wide area network infrastructure to support operations.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of LAN/WAN topologies and protocols.
  • Interface with telecom vendors to complete tasks and projects on time and budget.
  • Participate in network technology upgrade or expansion projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical support staff.
  • Lead job assignments without direct supervision.
  • Mentor and share expertise with junior members of the Network team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 7 to 10 years' experience maintaining local and wide area network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with securing Industrial Control Systems as defined by NIST SP800-82 Rev.2.
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts and best practices for network equipment.
  • Robust understanding of firewall operation, policy development, and deployment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • Current certifications preferred - CCNP and/or PCNSE.
  • Experience with Aruba Clear Pass and related Aruba Wireless Infrastructure technologies.
  • Current experience in supporting Palo Alto firewalls and familiarity with management via Panorama.
  • Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Working experience with SolarWinds and Service Now.
  • Company vehicle provided for travel.
