About The Position

Looking for a seasoned Senior Service Delivery Manager to join a well-rounded team to support an enterprise IT organization at a Fortune 50 company. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for network monitoring that align with overall business objectives and IT priorities. Tools Evaluation and Integration: Evaluate, recommend, and deploy network monitoring tools, ensuring they meet the customer’s specific needs and integrate with existing infrastructure, systems, within the ecosystem. Must be comfortable with both vertical and horizontal integrations with APIs( Web APIs - i.e., webGL, WebSockets/WebHooks, Canvas, REST, SOAP etc.)

Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and troubleshooting techniques. Must be a technical manager.
  • Network Monitoring Tools Expertise: Hands-on experience with various network monitoring tools (e.g., SevOne, Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.) and hands-on delivery of Tooling solutions across the enterprise. Exposure to a complex IT environment is requited.
  • Alert management: Strong understanding of alert life cycles, ITSM procedures, and methodology.
  • Cloud Networking: Knowledge of cloud-based network monitoring solutions.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Must have a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
  • A collaborative team player willing to learn from experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of network monitoring specialists, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Oversee the monitoring of network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network health.
  • Alert Management: Establish and manage alert systems, ensuring timely response to network events and potential security threats using best ITSM practices and net-dev-ops culture.
  • Collaboration, Reporting & Communication: Work closely with other IT teams, such as network engineers, architects, cybersecurity, and IT support, to resolve issues and implement improvements.
  • Generate regular reports on network performance, communicate findings to stakeholders, and participate in team meetings.
  • Staying Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in network monitoring, including emerging tools and best practices.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and eagerness to take on new challenges and push the team to greater performance, efficiency
