The ITSS Network Manager leads the team that is responsible for the network support for the entire computing environment including hardware procurement and deployment, escalated ServiceDesk tickets, project management of deployment and rehab projects, and assigned network monitoring and management. The role is a member of the IT shared services team that supports a portfolio of privately held companies. This position is hybrid, based on-site in Indianapolis, IN. Qualified candidates must currently reside within 75-miles of Indianapolis, IN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT Manager or similar technical leadership role.
  • Cisco switch and router hands on support experience.
  • Firewall technologies hands on support experience.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Experience with SDWAN and Technologies.
  • Very high-level of self-awareness and desire to develop leadership capabilities
  • Ability to hold themselves and others accountable to high standards
  • Experience identifying and resolving issues independently.
  • Demonstrates a solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgement.
  • Proven analytical skills with information systems.
  • Courage to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • Ability to gain alignment with different clients and represent a common point of view across multiple stakeholders.
  • Must be confident building business partnerships with various business leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Foundation Certified in IT Service Management
  • Cisco certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, etc.).
  • Experience with routing protocols, especially BGP
  • Aruba EdgeConnect a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a remote location supporting businesses with a decentralized leadership structure.
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 20%.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of network engineers, network administrators, and VOIP administrators.
  • Provides Tier III support for existing network devices to include routers, switches, and wireless AP’s.
  • Supports LAN / WAN connectivity to over 100 remote sites and 9 core datacenters.
  • Deploys new LAN / WAN hardware as required through acquisition, expansion, or technology refresh.
  • Drives continuous improvement of network reliability and performance.
  • Brings new technologies and best practices to enhance network performance and reliability.
  • Creates and updates process documentation as needed.
  • Adheres to change management processes.
  • Manages projects related to deployment of new hardware and configurations.
  • Documents configurations and monitors all aspects of network performance.
  • Supports ServiceDesk in resolving escalated tickets requiring specific technical knowledge.
  • Includes an after-hours, on call rotation with Network team.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
