About The Position

The Network Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of network engineers, developing and implementing strategies to ensure Vetcor’s network is able to support the needs of the business. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in network technologies and procedures. The Network Infrastructure Manager will work closely with IT, Security, Legal, and other departments. This role is accountable for network architecture, operational outcomes, and standards, while delegating hands-on implementation to engineers, vendors, and service providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network management.
  • Strong knowledge of configuring Firewalls, Routers, Switches, WAPs, TCP/IP in large scale environments.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful network programs.
  • Strong knowledge of network technologies, policies, and best practices including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VLANs, VPNs, Cloud Networking, Load Balancing and High Availability.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise network architecture, including LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, wireless, firewall, and cloud connectivity designs
  • Define and approve reference architectures, configuration standards, and technology roadmaps
  • Ensure network architecture supports security, compliance, performance, and scalability requirements
  • Lead a team of network engineers to ensure the integrity of Vetcor’s network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement a network strategy that aligns with Vetcor’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage partners to deploy standardized network devices throughout the enterprise.
  • Provide leadership and direction on all network related matters.
  • Oversee day-to-day network operations, including monitoring, incident response, change execution, and vendor coordination
  • Ensure root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and trend reporting are completed for network incidents
  • Establish and enforce on-call, escalation, and after-hours support models
  • Develop and maintain network policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and current network documentation, including diagrams, configuration templates, and standard operating procedures.
  • Own the network Standard Operating Manual (SOM) and change/configuration standards
  • Ensure secure lifecycle management of network hardware, including decommissioning and disposal
  • Manage vendors and service providers across design, procurement, implementation, and support
  • Review and approve vendor network designs, quotes, and implementation plans
  • Ensure vendor solutions align with internal architecture and security standards
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, Legal, and other departments to address network and needs and concerns.
  • Communicate network updates, policies, and procedures to all employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for network related matters.
