About The Position

ASSYST is seeking a Network & Facilities Technician (Entry Level) to provide hands-on technical support and ensure smooth day-to-day facilities operations at our office in Sterling, VA (Onsite)

Requirements

Experience working with Linux operating systems.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with computer hardware and peripherals.
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn under mentorship.
Ability to balance technical support with facility-related responsibilities.
U.S. Citizenship required, with ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day user support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, including setup, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Manage and maintain Linux-based systems and assist with basic networking tasks.
Support routine infrastructure operations such as backups, printer/copier management, and system monitoring.
Track, manage, and reconcile IT and facility inventory (hardware, peripherals, supplies) to ensure availability and accuracy.
Document internal procedures and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Serve as the first point of contact for facility-related issues, coordinating with vendors or building management as needed.
Assist with maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable office environment by addressing minor facility needs and escalating larger issues appropriately.
Collaborate with technical leads and management to ensure smooth operations across IT and facility domains.
