About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Network Engineer to install, configure, and support our organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems. This role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking hardware and software, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 6-8 years of professional experience in network engineering or related roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in identifying, interpreting, and evaluating system and network requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and operating systems.

Nice To Haves

• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
• Experience with enterprise-grade networking tools and monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and Internet systems or segments of network systems.
• Direct and supervise technical staff in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Oversee the replacement of defective components and ensure timely resolution of problems.
• Review and approve network security measures to protect organizational data, software, and hardware.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Review and approve the design, configuration, and testing of computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
• Monitor network performance and recommend adjustments or upgrades to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Advise leadership on future infrastructure needs and improvements.
• Present system flow diagrams and review systems procedures with stakeholders.
• Approve and oversee systems implementation plans.
• Supervise and assist in computer networking and operations functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day performance.
