About The Position

What if you could combine your hands-on technical experience, network engineering background, and cybersecurity knowledge to design and build secure systems for the customer? We're looking for an engineer who can create solutions for our customer that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats. As a Network Engineer on our project, you'll provide cybersecurity and network engineering services to support the client's mission. You'll work with a team of system, network, and infrastructure engineers to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customer's needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so you'll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. You'll help lead the team through a critical approach to network engineering, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs. You'll apply expertise in network engineering to requirements analysis and allocation, architecture analysis and design, technology assessment, and provide operational support, including tool testing in an operational environment and coordinating and resolving issues with other engineers and operational users. This is a chance to make a difference in the security of the IC. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices. You'll be able to broaden your skillset while helping customers overcome their most difficult and unique challenges.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with network engineering.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex, non-enterprise network architectures.
  • Experience monitoring network performance and security, and documenting network configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
  • Knowledge of network hardware, including Cisco and Juniper.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot complex and non-trivial network issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Forward Networks, SolarWinds, or VMware.
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
