Peraton requires an Network Engineer to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located on Hurlburt Field, FL. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. The Network Engineer plays a pivotal role within our IT support team, providing network engineering support in line with the SIE OPORD. Duties include but are not limited to: Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) Triaging malware, LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems Providing troubleshooting of enterprise WAN/MAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluating the effect of architectural changes on the network Troubleshooting LAN voice and data networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them Assessing business and applications requirements for corporate data and voice networks Planning, designing, and upgrading network installation projects Establishing and maintaining backup, version-control and malware defense systems Troubleshooting network architectures and recommending system fixes and enhancements Making recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission Monitor network performance, proactively making recommendations for improvement and resolving potential problems. Ensure proper tracking, and documentation of all program assets, adhering to government procedures and industry standards. Interface with government personnel and customers to convey project status and ensure smooth coordination and communication.
