The Network Engineer Plans, designs, and evaluates new and existing computer network systems and services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet, providing analytical, technical, and administrative support. The Network Engineer provides enhancements, maintenance, and operational duties on the network. Perform all responsibilities as outlined by manager. Configure and maintain Corporate Firewalls. Work both alone and with a team to maintain the connectivity with remote locations and proper operation of remote systems. Serve as a tier 2 and 3 escalation point for network tickets, as well as provide guidance for the help desk and junior members of the network team. Monitor, maintain and react to network monitoring and alerts. Maintain Access-Lists, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other measures to ensure enterprise wide network security. Maintain & Troubleshoot enterprise wireless and wired network. Light Windows/Linux server troubleshooting & support. Maintain enterprise QoS policies. Ability to participate and work in an on-call rotation. Build/maintain documentation, guides, and diagrams that can be utilized by all members of the IT department Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays, as well as, extended workdays to support business needs. Other duties may be assigned.
