Network Engineer
About The Position
Concept Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Information Technology (AIT) Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Services under the ITIPSS contract vehicle. The position will support, replace, and maintain switches and routers in multiple locations including hardware, LCM replacement, incident, and outage response and support and maintain the Voice Over IP (VOIP) infrastructure. Coordinate with FAA IT Services security to provide support for certification and accreditation and other security initiatives Apply security patches for switches and routers as needed Utilize industry standard software including Cisco, Ironport, Aruba, Bluecoat, and/or Infobox Implement IPv6 upgrades to FAA IT Services networks Validate proposed network changes Perform network assessments and provide results in reports Test new technologies and design network solutions Document network solutions, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps Plan, design, and implement network solutions including supporting facility network cabling and site surveys Install, test, terminate, and repair Ethernet and Fiber cables
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree (engineering, math, and science related degrees are considered acceptable alternative degrees); five (5) years of relevant experience.
- FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)
