Installs, supports, and maintains hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, aggregators, switches, Wi-Fi controllers, and firewalls. Diagnoses problems and solves issues, often under time constraints. Provides network and host-based security, incident response, firewall, and VPN management and administration. Implements the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modifications, disclosure, or destruction. Develops, maintains, and provides network documentation. Performs regular security monitoring to identify any possible attacks or intrusions. Monitors network usage, anticipates problems, and suggests solutions. Assists in the deployment and maintenance of Windows, servers, and hosts. Works closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices. Works with other members of the team to implement solutions to system-related problems to minimize operational impact. Rapidly responds to emergency situations, including direct response or on-call coverage, both during and outside of normal business hours. Works with the Telephony Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade Cisco phone system. Keeps the SNMP Dashboard accurate. Assists with Help Desk tickets as needed. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies. Follows all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.
