About The Position

Amentum is seeking system engineering professionals with related education and/or experience to support systems and software development in support of the Navy and Marine Corps at Dahlgren, VA. You will be part of our growing systems & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Network Engineer Responsibilities Include: Supporting Marine Corps Training Systems. Designing, implementing, maintenance, and supporting of the network infrastructure supporting the USMC system. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, VMware virtualization, and scripting languages. Working independently and collaboratively to ensure the USMC network is secure, reliable, and performs optimally to meet the demanding requirements of the training environment. Being a self-motivated problem-solver with a strong understanding of network architecture and a commitment to continuous learning.

Requirements

  • 5 + years’ experience in computer/system networking
  • AWS tactical networking knowledge in BL9 or BL10
  • Cisco, VMware, and/or other networking-focused certifications
  • Programming or development experience with network configuration using SDN
  • Experience with network source code repositories for configuration management
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start)
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Computer Networking
